ATF 2021: New models for African telecoms

During a panel discussion at Africa Tech Festival 2021, a group of experts discussed the evolution of local operators from telcos to tech-cos that are providing new services across other sectors like banking, healthcare and media alongside traditional voice and data services.

The panel was hosted by Accenture South Africa MD Nitesh Singh, who was joined by Vodacom Group CTO Dejan Kastelic; Safaricom Chief Enterprise Business Officer Kris Senanu; and Omdia Senior Research Analyst Thecla Mbongue.
