MEA head Fadi Pharaon is leaving Ericsson

Swedish ICT company Ericsson has announced that Fadi Pharaon, senior VP and head of its market area for the Middle East and Africa (MEA), has decided to leave Ericsson to pursue other opportunities.

Pharaon has led the MEA business since 2019 but has been with Ericsson for 26 years.

During his tenure, he has held several management positions, including senior VP and head of networks and managed services for Europe and Latin America, as well as global head of sales and business management for business unit network products at the headquarters in Stockholm.

"Fadi has contributed immensely to Ericsson with his deep knowledge of our industry, customer focus, business acumen and leadership skills. I wish him all the best in his future endeavors," Börje Ekholm, president and CEO of Ericsson, said about the MEA lead's exit.

Pharaon will leave Ericsson at the end of August, and Ericsson said a successor will be announced in due course.

"I am very passionate about the company and grateful for all the opportunities it offered me. I will be following Ericsson as it continues to progress and execute on our strategy to strengthen leadership in mobile networks, drive a focused expansion in enterprise, and pursue cultural transformation," Pharaon said.

In January 2024, Ericsson also appointed Majda Lahlou Kassi as the VP and head of Ericsson West Africa and Morocco.
