Liquid appoints ex-Cell C exec Lerato Pule as its CFO

Liquid Intelligent Technologies, the Pan-African digital infrastructure provider, has appointed former Cell C CFO Lerato Pule as its new chief financial officer, effective February 1, 2024.

Pule, who resigned from mobile operator Cell C in August 2023, less than a year after taking over from Zaf Mahomed, will serve as CFO of Liquid's South Africa operations.

"I am pleased to welcome Pule to the executive team at Liquid South Africa. She is an accomplished and well-established CFO with an extensive understanding of the industry in which we operate," said Deon Geyser, Liquid Intelligent Technologies South Africa's CEO.

He added that Pule will be instrumental in overseeing Liquid South Africa's financial strategy, as the organization continues to build on its vision of a digitally connected future.

Pule's track record

Prior to taking over as Cell C CFO in September 2022, Pule was appointed the company's executive director of financial planning, analysis and reporting in February 2022.

She also served as CFO of Telkom South Africa's SME segment.

Pule is a qualified chartered accountant with over 16 years' experience in financial and business management at an operational and strategic level in various organizations including BCX and African Bank.
