During a panel discussion at Africa Tech Festival 2021 a group of experts gave their insights on Africa's fintech future.

They discussed how competition between Africa's established financial institutions and fintech startups can be reframed for collaboration and how the sector is redefining banking and financial services.

The panel was hosted by Abe Wakama, CEO of IT News Africa, who was joined by Artemij Demidczyk, head of fintech and mobile money at Ericsson Middle East and Africa; Patricia Mugabe, head of strategy, innovation and product development at BancABC Zimbabwe; Elizabeth Rossiello, CEO of AZA Finance; and Kagiso Mothibi, head of fintech and innovation hub at South Africa's Financial Sector Conduct Authority.
