Meet Our iPhone 7 Winner from Telkom

CAPE TOWN -- AfricaCom 2016 -- When Molatelo Mathikhithela walked through the doors of this year's record-breaking AfricaCom event, he expected to find out about the latest smartphone technology but not walk out the door with some.

But that's exactly what happened after Cape Town-based Mathikhithela, mobile network planning manager at the Openserve division of South African operator Telkom, registered for the Connecting Africa community while he was at the event and found himself the second winner in our special iPhone 7 prize draw.

Mathikhithela, who previously worked at Vodacom before joining Telkom in 2010, visited the show to check out the latest network optimization and network management training tools and also to learn from the various conference tracks. "This is a very good event to learn from other people who share their experiences. It's very helpful – I always learn something new," he told Connecting Africa as he collected his iPhone 7 prize on Thursday morning.
